Tapered (Bubble or Bump) PVC Tubing

Medical grade PVC tubes that maintain a consistent wall thickness with varied inside diameters (ID) and outside diameters (OD) from one end to the other are referred to as tapered, bubble or bump tubing. These tubes are frequently used to eliminate assembly of connectors, since the large diameter ends can be press-fit onto other medical device components. These PVC tubes are resistant to ETO and gamma sterilization and suitable for solvent or thermal bonding to other PVC components.

Tapered PVC tubing is commonly used in infant therapy devices, irrigation, wound drainage and aspiration sets. The tapered ends offer convenient, easy assembly of the tubes in a clinical setting.
