We also formulate custom compounds to meet specific medical application requirements.

Medical-grade PVC Compounds

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a uniquely versatile polymer and used in a range of applications. When combined with plasticizers through a process known as compounding, this inherently rigid polymer becomes flexible. The formulation versatility, and its cost-performance effectiveness, meets a wide range of requirements ideal for disposable medical applications, whichever is required.

Flexchem® and Flexchem® SR

Ultra-high performance vinyl compounds that have been developed as an alternative to silicone for multiple applications. These compounds incorporate a non-phthalate plasticizer system for use in medical devices applications, ranging from 35 to 65 shore A hardness.

Elastichem®

High-performance vinyl compounds are translucent (self-frosting), flexible, and offer improved physical properties compared to standard extrusion grades of equal durometers. These include increased durability, excellent resilience, good compression set and a soft textured feel.  These compounds are available in 35 to 85 shore A hardness.

Series 11

Clear vinyl compounds for extrusion applications. Provide exceptional clarity, superior heat stability and high flow characteristics.

Series 12

Clear vinyl compounds formulated for injection molding applications. They provide exceptional clarity, superior heat stability, high flow characteristics and good mold release. Example: 6512.

Series 41

Flexible vinyl compounds formulated for extrusion applications requiring NSF certification.

Series 44

Vinyl compounds designed with the use of a non-phthalate plasticizer for applications focused on toxicological performance.

Series 48

Vinyl compounds designed with the use of a non-phthalate plasticizer. Offers excellent migration resistance and is a cost-effective non-phthalate solution.

Series 66

Vinyl compounds formulated specially using citrate-based, non-phthalate plasticizer. Example: 7566.

Series 77

Vinyl compounds formulated using a non-phthalate plasticizer with superior resistance to extraction by blood lipids and high fat emulsions. Products include Unichem 7477G, 6877, 7077.

Series 88

Vinyl compounds formulated using a non-phthalate plasticizer that provides excellent flexibility at low temperatures.

Rigids

Vinyl formulations designed to offer good heat stability and high flow characteristics for ease of processing. These compounds can be formulated to withstand degradation and discoloration associated with sterilization.

Medical-grade TPE Compounds
