Wayne, Pa. (December 13, 2016) —The latest in medical tubing will be exhibited by Natvar, a Tekni-Plex company, at MD&M West, February 7-9, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, Calif., in Booth 1838.
The Natvar products on display include the recently-launched Lipopath® shatter-resistant, hydrophilic, coextruded copolyester capillary tube and a polyethylene/thermoplastic polyurethane insulin delivery tube. Natvar will also be discussing its micro-tubing extrusion and silicone tubing capabilities.
LipoPath tubes are a cost-effective, hydrophilic, clear alternative to glass and plastic hematocrit tubes that require a drying process for plasma and heparin coating. The tubing line features a coextruded outer layer and a proprietary inner layer. Its shatter-resistant properties reduce the risk of contamination during lab testing and study procedures.
The company will also be discussing its recently developed four- and five-layer coextruded tubing which can help medical device manufacturers reduce costs up to 50 percent, while retaining—or even expanding—performance capabilities.
