LIBERTYVILLE, IL Tekni-Plex, Inc. has announced that one of its companies, Plastron, has changed its name to Natvar, effective January 31, 2002. The name change relates to the company and its Clayton, North Carolina and City of Industry, California facilities. The Natvar company and its product line were originally purchased by Tekni-Plex in 1999. Both Plastron and Natvar specialize in close-tolerance tubing components for such medical and healthcare applications as intravenous therapy, hemodialysis equipment, cardiovascular procedures, urinary drainage, and catheter products. Natvar is known for its
patented product lines, including the tri-layer SurePath 151, which
is a plasticizer-free fluid path product used for drug delivery. Natvar
also enjoys a reputation for providing extensive engineering and R&D
support to help its customers expedite their products to market. Commenting on the name change, Ed Goldberg, general manager of Natvar, explained that the new name is in recognition of our desire to emphasize the brand heritage that Natvar brings to our company.
