Tekni-Plex develops and manufactures hundreds of packaging and tubing products that protect and deliver thousands of products to millions of consumers every day. We have been doing this for the world’s leading medical, food service, and consumer products for over 60 years.

Date Event
2014 Tekni-Plex acquires Tech-Seal on August 21, 2014. Tech-Seal was founded in 1982 and produces induction heatseal and specialty liners to support the needs of the Closure liner space.
2013 Tekni-Plex, Inc. and American Securities LLC completed the acquisition of Tekni-Plex through a merger of an affiliate of American Securities, LLC with and into Tekni-Plex, Inc.
2013 Natvar, a division of Tekni-Plex, Inc. announced the opening of phase I operations in Costa Rica on October 24, 2013. With an initial investment of $4 million dollars, Natvar Costa Rica comprises 10,000 square feet and will employ 100 people.
2013 Tekni-Plex Europe’s subsidiary in Italy commenced operations at a newly centralized plant in Gaggiano, which is located in the suburbs of Milan. The major investment was made necessary due to growing demands in several emerging markets.
2011 Tekni-Plex opens Global Technology Center in Holland, OH.
2008 Oaktree Capital Management and Avenue Capital Group acquire a controlling interest in Tekni-Plex, Inc. as the Company successfully restructures its balance sheet. Paul J. Young becomes Chief Executive Officer.
2008 Tekni-Plex announces formation of Tekni-Plex India LTD.
2006 Tekni-Plex Technologies (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary formed to establish a manufacturing presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
2002 Tekni-Plex completes the acquisition of Elm Packaging.
2000 Tekni-Plex acquires the Super Plastics Division of RCR International, Inc.
Tekni-Plex, Argentina, S.A. formed to serve South American customers.
1999 Tekni-Plex acquires Tri-Seal International and NATVAR.
Tekni-Plex, Inc. (Singapore) formed to serve the Southeast Asian customers.
1998 Tekni-Plex and PureTech merge. PureTech becomes wholly-owned subsidiary of Tekni-Plex.
1997 Tekni-Plex acquires Cambridge, Ontario facility of PurePlast (formerly Hoechst Canada).
1996 Tekni-Plex acquires Dolco Packaging Corporation facilities.
1995 Tekni-Plex acquires Flemington, NJ facility of Hargro Packaging.
1984 Expansion of Somerville, NJ plant.
1971 Second plant built in Somerville, NJ.
1967 Tekni-Plex was founded to acquire the General Felt Products Division of Standard Packaging.
