Wayne, Pa. (November 14, 2017) — Colorite, a Tekni-Plex business unit specializing in custom medical-grade compounds, has announced that Richard Craythorne has joined the company as international sales and business development manager for its European operations.

Craythorne brings to Colorite more than 20 years of experience in various senior sales positions.  He has supported the European, Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian medical diagnostic sectors via past positions at Trinity Biotech, UDG Healthcare and Randox. Craythorne will be based out of the company’s Belfast office and will report to Ian Kenny, global managing director, Colorite.

“Having been involved with the medical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and other related market sectors for more than two decades, Richard is ideally suited to support global growth efforts for Colorite’s PVC and TPE compounds,” said Kenny. “His industry and technical knowledge will be an asset in helping medical device companies find the right plastic compound for their next generation products.”

Craythorne has a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Dundee, Scotland and is currently in a Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Ulster, Belfast, Ireland.
